Compare/Contrast Essay

Even though the book and movie called "Winn-Dixie" were very similar, there were some differences.

The book and movie both told the story of a girl named Opal who finds a friend in this dog named Winn-Dixie. Both showed how she had just moved into the new town and how the dog was very special to her. They both made me feel happy.

On the other hand, some of the characters were different. Otis played the guitar everyday in the book and only a few times in the movie. The book did not have a policeman like the movie or a landlord. In the movie, Winn-Dixie comes to the door when he gets lost, however in the book, he hides under the bed.

Winn-Dixie chapter 23-24-25-26

It was raining outside. Then Opal forgot about Winn Dixie because they where giting the sainwitch.
So she went looking for him; then they went home and they found him there.

Winn-Dixie chapter 20-21-22

Opal and Gloria Dump are planing a party and every one is invited; they are making egg-sandwich and dump punch. Everyone comes to the party then it starts to thunder so everyone gits in side.

Winn-Dixie chapter 17 -18- 19

They are listing to miss. Frammy tell a story. About civil war and how A guy went and made a candy shop and his candy was the best tast everyone loved it that Opal. It tasted like rootbeer and strawberry, sadness.

winn-Dixie chapter 15-16

Winn Dixie was hogging the fan when Miss. Franny was telling the story about the civil war for slavery. When he got back he made a candy shop. That is how he got famous for his candy.

Winn-Dixie chapter 13-14

They started a routine to go to Gertrude's pets and work. Then they go to Gloria Dumps house. Opal talked about Oites and how he went to jail. Gloria said that everyone makes mistakes. Gloia showed Opal the tree that ceaps the goast away.
