Charlie is a retarded man who has a brain operation that fails. Charlie was getting made fun of at his job but he was a happy person. His teacher took Charlie to the brain doctor. The doctor had a mouse named Algernon. The mouse had the same operation as Charlie. After the operation he felt smarter than his doctor. The mouse died from the operation so then they thought Charlie would die from it too.
